Do You Know How Much Money You Need to Start an Online Business?

Starting an online business is a serious decision because you’re going to put some effort and possibly spend some money for your online project.

If you do it with knowledge and ask for support from knowledgeable people you can make the whole process much easier.

Most people think that starting a business both in real world and online requires serious investments.

As to doing things in real world it’s true and as to doing it online it’s much different. Starting a business in real world in most cases requires some serious investments not everyone can afford.

In an online world if you want to start a business you don’t need to spend that much as many probably think.

In this my article I’m going to show you exactly how you can start your very own business online, how much investment it requires from you and how much you can earn from your online efforts.

First off, online business starts with a website. You can find many self-proclaimed gurus online that tell you that you don’t need a website to make money, you don’t need a product or service to promote…

They falsely and impudently claim that to start making money online, you just need to follow simple steps, 1,2,3, and that’s it. Or they promise that they have a “done for you system” and you don’t need to worry about anything. They will do it for you and you grab the money. This is of course NOT TRUE.

Building a website is not that difficult at all. You can build one within minutes if not seconds. WordPress is an advanced platform that makes the whole process very easy. You just need to choose a pre-made template that you like, a domain name name and click the “build” button and that’s it.

It doesn’t require you any money if you create your free starter account at Wealthy Affiliate. With free starter account you can create two websites and keep them as long as you want and also you can make money from them through Wealthy Affiliate affiliate program. Isn’t that cool? You can read about Wealthy Affiliate to understand exactly what I’m talking about.

In an ideal world, when you start an online business you need to pay for your your domain name (yourwebsitename.com) approx. 10$ per year. Some people prefer to choose their own domain name to make a website look more professional and paying 10$ per year isn’t that much. You can buy a domain name at godaddy.com, $13 for one year or at namecheap.com for $11). If you don’t want to buy a domain name, you don’t need it. Just choose a free domain name at Wealthy Affiliate (yourname.siterubix.com).

You also might want to order a hosting for your website ( Internet hosting service allows you to make your website accessible via the web) if you want to access your website via cPanel or need some advanced features. If you are new to internet marketing, I’m sure you don’t need it at all at this point. Anyway, it will cost you around 80$ per year. Not that much at all.

Remember, if you create free starter account at Wealthy Affiliate, you don’t need to pay for hosting and you don’t need to buy a domain name.

And the most important step to starting your online business is writing content for your website. If you have a product or service you need to write about it on a regular basis. Yes, on a regular basis, 2 times per week at least if you want to see steady and good traffic to your website. You need traffic because traffic means getting visitors to your site.

When you have visitors you can make sales. You don’t need to be a professional writer to write about your product or service. Some people prefer to outsource writing to someone else from Fiverr.com but to be honest, I don’t recommend it. To get someone write a good article for you, around 1000 words will cost you approx. $100.

You can even find someone who will write an article for $50. Anyway, you will easily and fast run out of your money before you start any money at all. So, I don’t recommend it. I write all my articles myself and don’t pay anyone for that.

Finally, you need to get trained before you start building your online business and to make sure that you do things in the right direction that will bring you closer and faster to your success instead of wasting your time. First off, I don’t recommend to follow any self-proclaimed guru that are many on the web. Most of them are NOT honest and scam people out of their money.

The best program that can teach you how to build a real business online is the Wealthy Affiliate – online business community. When you create a free starter account there you will go through 10 lessons for free to understand how the whole internet marketing thing works. After completing this free course you can start working towards your success without spending any money at all.

But this free course will not allow you to understand the whole process and that’s why you shouldn’t expect a lot of money from your online efforts, though you can make some money without spending any money at all.
